October 1st and 2nd I will be in Brunswick at the Railroad Days Festival in the Republican Club Of Frederick County’s tent. Please stop by, I would love to meet everyone and tell you about my campaign for state delegate.
Railroad Days is an annual two-day festival that takes place the first full weekend of October. Come be a part of our BIG TOWN, SMALL CITY, and enjoy our food, drink, music, games, crafts, restaurants, businesses and vendors!
From our history as one of the hubs of the B&O Railroad and our past and current connections to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, to the spectacular beauty of the Potomac River and the amazing talent of our local performers, artists, and local business people, there is a lot to get excited about in Brunswick, Maryland!
September 25th I will be in the Heritage Festival Parade in Middletown, MD.
Time: Begins at 10:00 AM – Location: Main Street
The Middletown Heritage Festival Parade kicks off the Festival with the Frederick County Honor Guard leading the parade down Main Street to Elm Street. With its dance groups, floats, marching bands and a variety of community organizations, the parade is always a highlight of the day.
Every year on Patriot Day we remember those that lost their lives on September 11, 2001, their families, and the first responders that answered the call that day. We also like to share the story of a lesser-known local hero: Woodsboro Fire Rescue Company’s antique ladder truck. The 1955 Mack Ladder truck was the only truck small enough to navigate the halls of the Pentagon where fires raged after the plane crash. When duty called, the Woodsboro firetruck was quite literally the little engine that could!
As I was lowering the flag to half-mast in our towns veteran’s memorial earlier this evening in honor of the men and women who lost their lives 20 years ago tomorrow, my mind began to wonder. It wondered back to where I was at on that fateful day 20 years ago when as a country, our world stopped turning for just a little while.
After careful consideration I have made the decision to run for Maryland State Delegate in district 4. There are several factors that played into my decision such as the fact that two of our three current delegates are running for different offices which leaves vacancies in our district. In addition, we need a strong voice in Annapolis, and I can be that voice for our municipalities in Frederick and Carroll Counties that I would represent.
